Status:

Basically nothing done yet (i started this at 17/5, less than a day ago), if early-alpha is a way to describe a game in very early development then Virion Omega would be hyper-early-alpha lmao.

Overview:

Virion Omega: Biological Apocalypse is a survival game set in a modern, post-apocalyptic world. You’ll take control of an ordinary civilian struggling to survive in a hostile new reality after a deadly virus decimated humanity.

Virion Omega: Biological Apocalypse is a single-player survival game developed with RPG Maker MZ, set in a near-future version of Earth where humanity has collapsed under the weight of its own creation.

Explore abandoned cities, scavenge for resources, fight off hostile mutants, and adapt to a collapsing ecosystem. Virion Omega is built for players who love immersive survival experiences where the environment is as deadly as the enemies that lurk within it.

Story:

In 2030, the military commissioned a secret laboratory under the name WelRump Industries to research a bioweapon project. Their goal was to create a virus powerful enough to cripple enemy nations. The result was Virion Mk-272,13 WelRump Omega—later known simply as Virion Omega.

But something went wrong.

A system failure led to the virus escaping containment. Designed to be maximally infectious, aggressively transmissible, and fatally destructive, Virion Omega spread like wildfire. Within hours, the country of origin was overwhelmed. Within days, the world collapsed. 95% of humanity was annihilated without warning or time to react. There is no cure. No way back.

Only a tiny fraction of humans survived—either due to rare genetic immunity or an exceptionally strong immune system, the rest were either killed by the virus or transformed into mutants because of the virus´s effects on the hosts´ biology. You are a survivor. But you’re not a hero. You’re not special. You’re just another victim in a dying world. Alone. Hunted. And desperately trying to survive.

Features:

Of course, there´s none since im just starting lol, but on the future (not far btw) you can expect:

• A massive city to explore, many houses, buildings, and i´ll add an Easter egg B)
• Survival systems and infection bar. (once full means 💀)
• Key characters you´ll need to find in order to develop futher (and to not die alone)
• Mutants danger clasification by eyes color.
• Capture and training of mutants (yes, you´ll be able to capture em after defeating them)
• More languages: i originally speak Spanish so the game will have spanish language together with English.
• A whole lotta more stuff, trust.

To be honest i´m a complete novice in all of this, this is my first game and the first time i upload a project here, as a 18 yo solo developer with no experience, money, contacts or resources i apologize if i make mistakes here and there (cus i probably will).
